We came ~720pm on Saturday night, and despite closing at 8pm, there were multiple groups still waiting for a table. The restaurant kindly stayed open even past their closing time to accommodate everyone. I'm not surprised they had a wait; everything we had was sooo good. Despite still being full from a large lunch, we ordered so much food cause it all sounded good. The cucumbers were crispy & refreshing, I loved the way the pig ears were cut, the potstickers (guo tie) were perfectly crispy and super plump. The soup dumplings had a great meaty flavor (both pork and shrimp fillings) and had a decent amount of soup. My favorite though was probably the Dan Dan noodles; they were both spicy and had the creamy peanut-y undertone that made them irresistible. I'm so happy to see they have multiple locations, including one in Sunnyvale, so we can visit again in the Bay!

Highly recommend this place over Din Tai Fung. The xiao long bao here are extremely juicy and flavorful. The dumpling skin is the perfect thickness and the price is sooo much better. The Dan Dan noodles are QQ and spicy. Something so simple such as a green onion pancake tastes better here. Service was fast and attentive. This place gets packed! Still a short wait right before close on Saturday.

Make sure you get the steamed dumplings! This place frequently has lines going out the door. It's always so busy that customer service sometimes takes second seat. There's a lot of interesting rice dishes & some very, very healthy vegan choices. The food does deserve five stars, and they could be charging more as well but because when you eat in there's cheap cups and a cheap pitcher of probably regular tap water, it well deserves 4 stars. It's a great cultural experience, watching behind the glass the making of the dumplings. I go here regularly, so I want to go back to giving five stars. Also, when I take the food home, when I reheat it that night or the next day, sometimes it even taste better.

The star of the show for us was the noodle. Dumplings were decent, the skin could be thinner for most items, but honestly it's the best we could have that's close by. Chilli oil is subpar, but not bad. Considering that everything is made in-house (I believe that's the case) the price is great. Service was quick and efficient during dinner rush hour. On top of that, this restaurant is spotless! Clean and welcoming ambiance. You will be directed to order with a barcode tho, which takes away a bit from dimsum experience. I can't believe this was my first time here. We will be repeating customers ‍

We went here on a Wednesday and it was packed, this place is always popular and I'm not surprised. We have ordered their green bean, XLB, and stir fry noodle with chicken. Both XLB and noodles come out steaming hot and tasted delicious. However, for the green bean, it was very flavorful, but tasted stale. It seems like they have cooked them beforehand instead of made to order. Other than that, the service is good. You don't really have to interact with the server since you can place your order and pay the bill on your phone with the QR code. This place is on the smaller end, so I think is nice to come with friends and family with group less than 6!

Fairly new to the lake forest/ foothill ranch area and slowly exploring the food spots nearby- let me just tell you this one did not disappoint! Parking- It's a plaza with many small shops and restaurants with easy parking Ambiance- cute little small restaurant but just the perfect size for a lowkey date night or family night out on a Friday. Clean seating and we had the view of the staff hand making the dumplings one by one! Menu- as soon as we got seated, we had to scan a QR code on the table to view the menu + add to cart style + pay on the website menu as well at the end of your meal. -- the phone system and ordering and paying for the check was very efficient! We loved how fast everything was! Food- 10/10 highly recommend! It was just my husband and I but we tried alot of the dishes! From the Xiao long bao, shrimp fried rice, sautéed green beans for that vegetable balance, Dan Dan noodles (tasted very peanut based), pan fried pork dumplings (chefs kiss), Pork Xiao Long bao (the juices were juicing). Everything was absolutely delicious! Such a good affordable din tai fung dupe and so much closer and we only waited 15min as a walk in on a Friday night! Thank you Sunny Dumpling House! We will definitely be back! Next time I'd love to try the spicy peanuts and the beef noodle soup!! Yum!

Such a unique lunch. Thanks to the Yelp community for guiding us here. Very in different experience in a great way. May not be for everyone though. Totally self serve from ordering off the menu via QR code pulling up an online menu to placing your order online and paying. You can order individually or as group and pay that way which eliminates the whole bill splitting headache. You can also keep a tab running if you want order a little at a time and close out the bill when you're done. We were very down with this process but I could see it being an issue for less tech savvy peeps. Ok now let's talk about the food. So fresh, flavorful and prepared perfectly! I had the steamed garlic cabbage and steamed shrimp and pork dumplings. DELICIOUS! My husband had the fried rice and Shrimp and pork Shumai. I tried his shumai, which were also delicious. Everything we ordered was absolutely wonderful. We would come here again in a heartbeat. Now
